My Practice
My Practice

My practice is focussed on being supportive and pragmatic. My concern is to help you recognise the challenges ahead of you. I want to support you in that decision you are taking, to actually do something about the issues you are facing. Within a secure environment I encourage clients to take that extra step forward to successfully deal with the difficult problems in their lives.
I recognise that for some the counselling room can at first seem a daunting place. Counselling work can be challenging but my concern is to ease that process and to help you gain the most from your time in the counselling room.
I am an experienced qualified counsellor, an Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a UKRC Registered Independent Counsellor. I am trained in a number of different approaches including CBT, psychodynamic counselling and solution focussed therapy. I work under the BACP Code of Ethics to provide counselling which is safe and confidential.
The counselling in Basingstoke and North Hampshire that I provide is intended to be practical and informed. My practice reflects both theorectical insights and practical application of contemporary counselling techniques
As a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and an Associate Member of the Institute of Coaching, I also have a particular interest in counselling issues within the workplace. In addition to working with individual clients I am happy to work directly with or on behalf of organisations and companies who wish to provide specific counselling support to key employees. I am also happy to work with counselling students and trainees
